Web developer and IT consultant, based on the NSW Mid Coast. I built my first website in 1999 and started in front-end development with a fairly religious commitment to standards and accessibility - a habit that's stuck.
These days most of my work is WordPress, at the deeper end: multisite networks, custom themes and plugins, centralised deployment and update systems across estates of client sites. A lot of it is in the travel and cruise sector, where sites tend to be tangled up with third-party booking platforms and vendor-injected widgets that don't always behave.
I also handle the layer underneath. Server provisioning and hardening on AWS and Debian, Cloudflare, object caching, media offload to S3-compatible storage, and the unglamorous performance archaeology that comes with inheriting a site nobody's audited in five years.
Trading as Lafinboy Productions since 2001. Previously Senior Front End Developer at Holler Sydney, with earlier roles at Amplify Services, Reed Business and Serco
