I've spent my career on the technology side of marketing, mostly before the industry had names for any of it. Media Technology, Engage, DoubleClick, Overture — then sixteen years through DoubleClick Email Solutions and Epsilon after the acquisition, finishing up running Epsilon's Asia Pacific business across eight offices and six countries.
Since 2019 I've been at the other end of the telescope, consulting to small businesses. In December 2024 I started one of my own: Evolve Autotech, a licensed vehicle security workshop in Sydney's north-west.
These days I build as well as advise. Every website and internal tool Evolve runs on is one I wrote myself — including an app that takes a finished job through to a published social post, and a system that generates a custom printed owner's guide for every car that comes through the workshop.
I started in this industry in 1993. What still surprises me is how much one person can now build on their own.
